How is all started…

Blooming from her own struggle with mental health founder Cimone A Holt decided to reclaim her well-being, prioritize self-care and build a sense of community. Helping women with similar mental health and healing journeys feel seen, find solace, support, and sisterhood was her primary focus.

Understanding the unique experience of being black, while parenting and struggling with your mental health, she wanted to make a change. By creating a safe space we can move forward beyond the negative stigma in the black community, pave a way to better access to the necessary resources while defeating shame and loneliness.

Moving through her own journey she realized the importance of having access to the intersection of clinical and holistic wellness practices. There is no one way to mange your mental health. Youshold e be able to find what combination of things work best for you.

The goal of MBM, Inc. to be a valuable resource to a community that needs support and to fill a space in the realm of black mental health that has long been vacant. The hope is that by sharing experiences within the community we can be the best women we can be for ourselves and advocate for those who may not know where to get the resources themselves.

We don’t have to do it alone.
